Cat Dissection (Primer)

Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy, or Compa Ana, is a very hard and challenging course subject for BS Biology Students - I take it from experience as our class is having it now! As future legit Biologists, we knew the importance of Compa Ana for future studies especially to those who will take up Medicine soon as they finish the college program. From discussions up to practical examinations to major tests, Compa Ana requires a lot of highly-cerebral focus and attention. But who would have thought that a course subject labeled as "braincrusher" would be also filled with FUN and INTERESTING activities! I'm talking about Dissections, of course! :))

Here are some photos I've taken last summer only when I was taking my vacation at General Santos City, my hometown. :))

(I kinda feel excited of what the course subject would bring so I already 'braced myself' and practiced dissecting a Cat - for its anatomy is considered to be ideal in all mammals including us, humans!)

Getting ready to skin!

Skinning...
Skinning...
More skinning...
Yeah, more and more skinning...

The above pictures feature my skinning of the Cat! :)) Wooh! Skinning a Cat is NICE and EASY! Too Gross for you???

How about these?

Wait! The cat is already disemboweled!? Where did the organs go?
You've got to wait for my next blog! ;)
